DTR Juniors – Victory!

Since 2016 the Senior class has dominated DTR victories, winning over and over again and making other classes think that the event was rigged. It wasn’t though, and this year Juniors proved it! This was an amazing year from every class, and really showed the spirit that Hayward High School brings to all the events of Down Town Rally and Homecoming. Each class put their effort in, but the Juniors brought it home with their school spirit and their motivation to challenge tradition.

Over the last two years, the class of 2027 has continuously gotten second place overall at DTR. But thanks to the Junior’s amazing leadership and spirit they have found an early victory. This work includes our amazing DTR representatives like Serena Johnson-Jenkins who managed the float site and keep the Juniors spirits up during the parade itself. To add to that already amazing foundation was our DTR royalties, Mariah and Eva have been a cornerstone in making sure our chants stayed loud and consistent during the parade. Finally everyone who showed up and stayed during the whole DTR, gave their all, and showed why the Juniors could win and deserved to win DTR. We did it!
