HHS Football Homecoming Game

That’s right, the football varsity team and JV team had a game the same day as DTR! They went against Newark memorial high school, right here on the farm! I got two pre game predictions from a JV player and a Varsity player. For the varsity game, Santino Shaffer said that the score was going to be 67-12, since the team wasn’t that good and they had a pretty high chance of winning the game. For the JV team, Anthony Jackson told me that they were going to beat the heck out of the team. He also said it would be an easy win, since they’ve been working hard recently and think this will be a good time to show off.

The score was 21-6, making the Hayward varsity football team’s record 4-3. The MVP for that game was player Lamont McDonald scoring 2 touchdowns for the team and getting them the win! For the JV team score, it was 21-12 making their record 3-5! With this win they still have to lock in because one more loss and they will not make the playoffs. This victory though, gives them a lot of motivation to work hard, and to stay ready and focused on their next games.
