Cyber high is a credit recovery program in our school which you do after school. Cyber high lasts until 5:50 so you have 6 periods basically in school for over 9 hours. This can take a toll on students. For example, I interviewed a student that was in cyber high and asked if it affects their social life with their family or friends, “Yeah though my family mainly a lot because I would get home late my mom would leave for work and I wouldn’t get to see her.”

So, if you plan to do cyber high, be prepared to put your social life on pause. I asked the student questions involving do you basically do in cyber high and they said, “ Well all you do is basically sit down and you log into your chromebook and you go to the cyberhigh website and in each quarter we have five units to do and each unit has a final and once you complete all of those finals your pretty much good to go.” I asked the student if she would recommend doing cyber high to earn credits or would she recommend it as a last resort she states: “Honestly do it get it done as soon as possible, because if you get it done faster you won’t have to worry about anything as much later.”
Cyber high makes you stay after school but it’s a great resource if you’re behind in credits. Although it does take a bit of toll and it can be demotivating at times, because you’re staying after school to do more work but if you get it done you’ll be thankful for suffering now so you won’t have to suffer later. The average time to earn 5 credits in cyber high is about two weeks so if you stay consistent with it you’ll be out to recover your credits in no time. So in conclusion cyber high can seem demotivating and a pain but it’s really worth it to recover credits if you’re behind so definitely consider it a first resource.
