Project Lead the way (PLTW) biomedical science pathway is a 4 year program that was launched in the late 2000s as an expansion of the PLTW engineering program. It was developed to give students a rigorous hands-on STEM class that introduced the students to healthcare and biomedical careers early on. The biomedical senior night is meant to celebrate the seniors and how hard they worked to get to where they are at. The event was hosted in the gym this year, with many proud friends and family members coming to celebrate their loved ones. Opening remarks from Ms. Norma and Mr. Nixon was made, where Mr. Nixon gave a nice speech showing his care and appreciation for this year’s class of seniors.
The student speakers at this were Alberto Gonzalez Lopez and Sidona Yemane. The speeches were extremely well written and heartfelt and moved multiple students as they talked about the impact that this pathway left on them through the past 4 years, and all the memories they reminisce upon. All the staff members did a great job at organizing the event with them providing nice decorations, lab coats and medallions for the students, and a projector sharing images of the class throughout the years. Current Biomed juniors even made beautiful posters celebrating the seniors accomplishments. Overall, this was a beautiful event between the biomed 2026 senior class!
